We offer continuity of care through our team of 60+ care providers, all managed and scheduled through one interface, simplifying the logistics of receiving support during this precious season. Our goal is for you to focus on what is most important—stepping into this new season of life grounded and connected.

Our services include:

A postpartum doula provides professional, evidence-based care that nurtures each family’s unique path through the early months postpartum. Welcoming a new member of the family is a life changing event that warrants care for all family members, not just the new baby.

Overnight visits help maximize sleep for the whole family with our overnight specialists caring for baby all night long. Newborn and toddler sleep is always changing, so we work alongside each family to meet you where you are in the sleep journey.

Our birth doulas help you create a sanctuary to labor and give birth, offering support, advocacy, and guidance through one of life’s most precious moments. Whether you wish for a vaginal birth with or without medication, plan medical intervention, are having a planned or unplanned Cesarean birth or a vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC), we can support your unique journey.

Our massage therapists have extensive training and experience in prenatal and postnatal massage to promote healing after vaginal or Cesarean birth and relieve muscle tension and pain after labor and birth. Integrative and specialty massage options round out our massage offerings for bodywork throughout the lifespan.

Our team of IBCLCs (Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants) educates on the physiology of newborns and feeding, breastfeeding supply and latch, treatment options for clogged ducts and mastitis, and more.

Nutrient dense meals are important for a growing family, no matter the size or age of the children. Our chefs cook in your home, accommodating any allergies or food intolerances to meet your family's specific needs.

Support around the major life adjustment that occurs when bringing a new baby home can be a crucially important aspect of care during this season. Our dually trained postpartum doulas and psychotherapists can bring this layer of support in to your home in the early days and weeks postpartum.

Bereavement doula care is a specialized support system designed to help families navigate the profound grief and emotional challenges following the loss of baby. Our team is here to walk beside you in the grief, offering practical and emotional support virtually or at home.

We meet families before, during, and after the birth of their baby and ease the transition as they welcome their new little one. Families generally choose a combination of overnight support and day doula visits, wrapping themselves in professional, evidence-based care throughout the first few weeks and months postpartum.
What is a doula?
Doulas provide emotional, physical, and informational support to both new and experienced parents. While most people think doulas only help in the hospital, the majority of our Sanctuary’s care happens in the home!
Sanctuary Cares is a nonprofit organization providing affordable and accessible maternal & infant care.
Our maternal health system ignores mothers and babies at the most critical time, leaving only the most affluent families the opportunity to afford perinatal care outside of the hospital. Sanctuary Cares provides a full suite of care services at free or subsidized cost to all families, regardless of income, especially those most marginalized.
We show up with the care and compassion every family deserves so our clients can rest, recover, and navigate through this transformational time feeling confident, capable, and connected.
